Just days ahead of Chervonia’s national election, a politically explosive leak has emerged, alleging covert ties between President Parenko’s inner circle and a radical paramilitary group known as the Chervonian Purity Network.

Documents purported to be classified intelligence files began circulating online late Sunday night. The materials — which include internal memos, encrypted communications, and purported satellite imagery — claim to expose secret training camps operated by nationalist militants in the country’s remote southern highlands.
Several of the files name senior members of Parenko’s team and suggest informal coordination with the group’s so-called “media and logistics units.” References within the documents cite “strategic readiness in the event of border destabilisation” and “mobilisation capabilities under contingency protocols.”
The scandal, quickly dubbed #MilitiaGate on social media, has triggered widespread public outcry. Opposition figures and civil society leaders have called for an urgent investigation, while Parenko’s office has yet to issue an official response.

However, independent analysts have raised serious doubts about the authenticity of the leak. Forensic reviews of the satellite images indicate signs of digital manipulation, with several experts pointing to the use of AI-generated composites. Metadata inconsistencies and formatting anomalies further suggest the possibility of fabrication.
Despite these red flags, the release has already had significant political impact, sowing confusion and mistrust at a highly sensitive juncture in the electoral cycle. The origin of the leak remains unclear, though several watchdog organisations have warned of increased foreign interference efforts in the lead-up to the vote.
